Ski-In/Ski-Out Access

Ski-In/Ski-Out Access
at Chalet Alpina

Chalet Alpina is designed around immediacy. Positioned at the base of Aspen Mountain, planned true ski-in/ski-out access is central to the ownership experience. The planned new Lift One high-speed Telemix, combining gondola cabins and chairlift seating, will run directly through the property, allowing owners to ski back to Chalet Alpina and depart directly onto the mountain — without a shuttle, road crossing, or walking in ski boots.

In Aspen, that distinction matters. True ski-in/ski-out ownership is limited, and when complete, Chalet Alpina's position along the planned Lift One alignment will place it among a limited number of Aspen addresses offering direct ski access from home.

Access to the New Lift One High-Speed Telemix

The planned new Lift One high-speed Telemix will combine gondola cabins and chairlift seating to serve Aspen Mountain, with the lift alignment planned to run directly through Chalet Alpina's property.

For owners, that means planned direct access to the mountain, with the choice of riding in an enclosed gondola cabin or taking the chairlift — directly from the property.

What does ski-in/ski-out actually mean at Chalet Alpina?

As planned, Chalet Alpina is designed so you can leave home, clip into your skis, and head directly onto Aspen Mountain. At the end of the day, you can ski back home.

No shuttle, no road crossings, no walking through town in ski boots. Just home to mountain — and mountain to home — as the project is designed.

Aspen Skiing Heritage Lives On

The Lift One Corridor is not only being transformed — an important part of Aspen's skiing history is being preserved with it.

Two historic skier chalets are being relocated, restored, and repurposed as part of the project — one as a signature restaurant and the other as the new Aspen Snowsports History Museum at Skiers Chalet, operated by the Aspen Historical Society.

The historic structures are planned to remain part of the Lift One experience, connecting Aspen's skiing heritage with its next chapter.

Connecting the Mountain and the Town

A new public park and pedestrian pathways will further connect the Lift One area with downtown Aspen, creating welcoming public spaces for residents, visitors, and the broader community.

Together, these improvements are planned to create a renewed connection between Aspen Mountain and the heart of town.

Ski Valet and Boot Room

Chalet Alpina is designed to provide a direct transition from residence to mountain. Dedicated ski valet and boot room facilities are planned to provide storage and organization for ski equipment, supporting direct access from home to mountain and back again.
